The mosque was raised for the sultan and nobles within city’s original bastion. Its elaborately carved ceiling, jali screens and grand stone pillars look stunning.

To eye some astonishing Gujarati folk arts, the Lokayatan Folk Museum is an ecstasy. The museum exhibits impressive wood carvings, metalwork and some magnificent embroidered textiles and remarkable tie-dyed quilts. Calico Museum of Textiles is another famous museum of Ahmedabad known for housing a fine collection of antique and modern Indian textiles. Visitors get awe-struck with the fine looking Kashmiri shawls displayed in the museum made with double-ikat cloths using 100,000 threads.
