To spend some moments of solitude, Chamera Lake is another treasure trove resting approximately 15 kilometres away from Dalhousie. This artificial lake is perfect for day picnic where travellers can take the pleasure of boating as well.

Apart from abundance of flora, the Sanctuary also boasts of great fauna, including Himalayan Black bear, Pheasants and Himalayan black marten, etc.
By Air: Though Dalhousie doesn’t have its own airport, the closest domestic airport is in Pathankot which is just 75 kilometres away from the hill station.
By Rail: The easiest and most convenient way to reach Dalhousie is by train. Pathankot’s Chakki Bank railhead is the closest station catering the hill station.
By Road: Road journey to Dalhousie is extremely beautiful. Abundance of private and state-run buses are available.
