Believed to be the oldest temple built by Adi Shankaracharya, the 9th Century Bharat Mandir is situated near Triveni Ghat. An extremely popular site among foreigners, Swarga Ashram is situated on the eastern bank of the Ganges and has many ashrams. Lakshman Jhula is a suspended iron bridge which is 450 feet long. Built in 1939, the bridge is 2 kms away from Swarga Ashram and has temples at its both sides. Lakshman temple at Tapovan is the most famous temple here. Ram Jhula is another suspended iron bridge constructed over the Ganges River. Among its many ashrams, Geeta Bhavan and Swarga Ashram are most popular.
